Quick answers
We work on garage doors in Tukwila and the surrounding areas, and we can give you a solid quote over the phone for a lot of common jobs - a broken spring, a bent track, an opener that hums but won't lift.
What we can't do is price a job blind when the door itself is the question mark. If a panel is dented, if the opener is an old chain-drive unit nobody makes parts for anymore, or if we don't know whether you've got torsion springs or extension springs, we need to see it.
Tukwila's housing runs mostly 1962 to 2005, with a lot of stock from the 1980s and 90s, so we see a fair number of original openers and hardware from that era still in service.
Tell us the age of the house and what the door is doing, or not doing, and we'll tell you honestly whether we can quote it now or need to look first.
Get in touch
Call us at (425) 940-6419. We're based at 3333 S 120th Pl, Tukwila, WA 98168, and we run jobs out from there across Tukwila and the nearby areas - Bryn Mawr-Skyway, White Center, Rainier Beach, Riverton-Boulevard Park, Southcenter, and out toward Renton, Burien, and Kent. When you call, have the door in front of you if you can. We'll ask what it's doing (won't open, won't close, makes noise, opener runs but door doesn't move), roughly how old it is, and whether it's a single or double door. That's usually enough for us to tell you what kind of job you're looking at and give you a number, or tell you straight that we need eyes on it first.
Our services
We repair and replace residential garage doors and openers: broken torsion and extension springs, snapped cables, off-track doors, bent or dented panels, worn rollers, and openers that are dead, noisy, or half-working.
We also handle full door and opener replacements when a repair isn't worth it - which happens more with doors that are already 25-plus years old, given how much of Tukwila's housing dates to the 1980s and 90s.
What we don't do is price sight-unseen: cosmetic damage, custom or oversized doors, and anything where the drywall, framing, or wall behind the track has taken damage needs a look before a number means anything.
Given Tukwila sits in a cold, moderate climate band, we also see openers and springs age faster than a homeowner expects, so a door that 'was fine last year' isn't unusual to hear.
Our team
Whoever comes to your door is doing the repair, not selling you one. We don't run a call center that dispatches to a subcontractor - the person on the phone and the person with the wrench are working from the same information. We're not going to invent a history for you or claim years we can't back up; what we can tell you is what we work on, where we work, and what a quote needs to hold up. If you've got a straightforward symptom on a standard-size residential door, we can often quote it before we hang up. If not, we'll say so, and we'll tell you why.
Questions
For common jobs - a broken spring, a snapped cable, a door off its track - yes, if you can tell us the door's size and what's wrong. For dented panels, older openers, or anything where the wall or framing might be involved, we need to see it before a number means anything.
Yes. We cover Tukwila and the nearby areas including Bryn Mawr-Skyway, White Center, Rainier Beach, Riverton-Boulevard Park, and Southcenter, among others. Call and tell us your address and we'll confirm.
Not a problem, but it's useful information. A lot of Tukwila's housing dates to the 1980s and 90s, and doors and openers from that era often need parts that current standard hardware doesn't match. Knowing the house age helps us quote it right the first time.
Sometimes it isn't. An opener or door old enough that parts are hard to source, or damage severe enough that a patch won't hold, is usually cheaper to replace than to keep repairing. We'll tell you which situation you're in rather than run up a repair bill on a door that's done.
